We're Emily and Becky, the founders of GoodChange. GoodChange is a fundraising and financial platform that processes one-time, monthly, and spare change donations and helps get funding directly to fundraisers without them having to wait for someone else to send them a check or a deposit. In other words, we make raising and managing funds fast, easy, and cost effective. And, we pride ourselves on championing relational fundraising strategies that help strengthen communities and inspire action.

We started GoodChange because we had to do...more. We spent years fundraising in the political and advocacy space. During all those years, we experienced the same ups and downs of starting and supporting a campaign, and we faced them cycle after cycle. We were chronically understaffed and under-resourced, and doing more of the same was no longer an answer.

One day over lunch, Emily shared with me (Becky!) that she'd been so pleased with a creative fundraiser she built in a small Arkansas town that ended up funding an entire campaign. She had taken 50 or so mason jars, put campaign stickers on them, and passed them out to 50 willing takers. They'd throw any pocket change in the jars when they saw something on the news or in their community that reminded them why they wanted leadership changes.

Over several months, the spare change donors put their change in the jars, and then wrote checks in the amount of the saved change and gave the checks to the campaign. At the end of the campaign, there was more than enough funding for the campaign! I remember thinking, how smart and said, "WAIT A MINUTE. There is technology for this, and we're gonna build it!" And, we did. It was clear to us that creative, engaging, and fun ways to raise money would be key in the years to come for a number of reasons. From donor exhaustion to an oversaturation of digital messaging - we needed new tactics. And we needed them to be scalable. Technology can bring immense power to analog solutions, and that's why we're here.

Building and growing GoodChange is a labor of love for us, and we are so incredibly grateful for the candidates, campaigns, and donors who have given GoodChange a try. We are thrilled to delight our clients with speed, efficiency, and a relentless focus on customer service.
